Martha Dawson, DNP, RN, FACHE is an assistant professor with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Nursing and the director for the Nursing Health Systems Leadership Division at UAB. Dr. Dawson also co-chairs AL-HAC's Diversity Committee.
Dr. Dawson discusses the vast roles within nursing and how leadership, influencing change, and caring for others drew her to nursing. Dr. Dawson also shares about her experience being one of the few minority nursing students in school and the impact of increasing diversity and inclusivity in the nursing workforce.
